What does each registration status mean?
Regular is a CPF in good standing. Suspended and pending regularization signal an issue with the tax authority. Canceled and void signal a closed registration. The exact meaning of each status is set by the Receita Federal.
Is the registration status updated in real time?
Data comes from the official source and can be reused for up to 30 days. For sensitive decisions, look it up again at the time of the deal.
What if the status field comes back empty?
It can happen, because the source does not always provide it. Treat it as “not reported” and decide in your process whether the record moves on or goes to review.
